You are so right with everything you said. I'm flabbergasted every day with what some content creators are saying. Republicans have zero chance of continuing to win. We are horrible at sticking together and focusing on what needs to be done. It turned into a money game. It's disgusting. I stepped into the arena for a short time and stepped back out. Total joke. Total waste of an opportunity.

Deep breath my brother. I am so happy to have found you, bought your book too. Whatever you decide to do, I will enjoy your wit and learn from you. Remember your love of God and rest easy, after all he is in control!

Comment 2: Go on Amazon and subscribe to the Audible version of the complete Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire by Edward Gibbon. Not only will you then enjoy many hours of what is possibly the most beautiful prose in the English language, and the most brilliant display of intellect and wit - but you will also realise (after a few hours) that the power structure itself is the problem. The personalities themselves are irrelevant. Yes they do a lot of damage. But after the Decline and Fall there need be no surprises. Just stay out of the way of the psychopaths in charge. See Matthew 2:12-14

Jesús, I read your 2026 refocus with a great deal of respect.

Having worked in politics in Australia, I know exactly what you mean when you say it "does your head in." It is a snake pit that thrives on misreading motivations; the mental toll is real.

Your observations on human behavior have always been the most noteworthy part of your work. While the political cycle is a "conspiracy maelstrom," your analysis of behavior is where the lasting value lies. Glad to see you’re protecting your sanity and returning to your core strengths.

Looking forward to the 2026 shift.

I agree 100%, we all need to go on a low information diet. It's too overwhelming at times and you just need to stay in your lane or bubble and regroup and prioritize your values and life each day. It's out of our hands, we can't fix it, and how do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time! Peace!

I agree. I never paid attention to politics until the past few elections - only because some of my Health & Wellness teachers were raising my awareness. Then I got (almost obsessively) into this past election. Like you, I’m finding myself disappointed with ‘all talk and no results’. This was really occupying my mind and now it seems more like a big soap opera. I also am SO astonished that people are like sheep being led down a dark and sick path. I don’t understand how Democrats have such a low rating (18%) but are expected to have a strong pull in the 2026 elections?! It’s also so frustrating to see how disgusting politicians act - really appalling. It’s no wonder that they get nothing done because they scream and yell over each other. There is no constructive and respectful dialogue. Also, my eyes are now wide open to how much corruption goes on. It seems most of our elected officials DO NOT represent their constituents but find a way to get rich by being puppeteered by lobbyests:(

There’s a difference between acknowledging institutional dysfunction and narrating ourselves into civilizational doom.

What’s worrying is how easily frustration — much of it understandable — becomes a substitute for analysis.

Bureaucracies are slow, messy, self-protective, and often incompetent without needing secret villains or apocalyptic conclusions. When every delay becomes evidence of conspiracy and every problem becomes proof of collapse, the signal disappears and all that remains is exhaustion.

The real threat to serious thought on the right isn’t liberalism — though it is certainly a problem — it’s emotional over-investment disguised as clarity.

Writing off the future on that basis isn’t insight. It’s burnout.

Love your analysis. I'm from Canada and for a number of years have been getting all my paperwork for permanent residence in Mexico. Now I'm thinking it's a really bad idea.

So let me ask, where in Europe or anywhere for that matter, is a good place to escape to (if there is one)?

OK. Coment 1. View 'the news' and every iteration of it like you would an unwelcome intruder in your life. Imagine you were sitting on the toilet minding your own business, and a rattlesnake - worse, an amiable Australian Death Adder - came slithering under the door.

Keep playing Metallica on your cello, Jesús. That’s my best advice when the world goes to Hell.

Well said, thank you for putting into words what I've been feeling as well.
